Gardening advice and safety

Our guides are general horticultural information, not professional consultation. Growing conditions vary street by street in Florida. Always confirm plant selection, pruning timing and cold protection with your county UF/IFAS Extension office before acting on anything you read here.

We do not provide medical, nutritional or veterinary advice. Never eat a plant, fruit or plant part you have not positively identified as edible. Follow all pesticide, herbicide and fertilizer product labels exactly; the label is the law in Florida and it overrides anything written on this site.
